Three Bites, You're Out!

This week I had to distinguish umpires from vampires. Apparently, these two things are the same in Caleigh's mind and can be used interchangeably.

We have been watching a lot of Braves baseball together this summer. And now, with the Olympics up and going, umpires are everywhere!

Thank goodness there aren't vampires everywhere! And besides, aren't vampires notoriously night creatures? I doubt they could stand the intense heat and bright sun that Georgia offers its Braves and their fans!

I do have to admit when she called the Braves game umpire a vampire, I did secretly imagine a very pale man behind that mask and I had to laugh!

Mimples

Caleigh calls pimples, mimples! I Have caught her squeezing her face and when I asks what she is doing, she tells me she is getting her "mimples!"

Please slow down, Caleigh. I am almost 100% sure your days of "mimples" are coming. For now, please enjoy your beautiful flawless perfect skin on your face! It won't last forever!

I'm Fat

As I am washing dishes in the kitchen yesterday, Caleigh comes in and lifts her shirt.  She then rubs her belly and tells me that she is fat!

I chuckle at her and then ask her why she thinks she is "fat".

She then tells me that she is fat because she ate a black watermelon seed and now she had a whole watermelon growing in her belly!

I couldn't help but laugh!

She got angry with me and I got straight faced really quickly as I didn't want to hurt her feelings.

I asked her who told her that a watermelon would grow in her belly and she very quickly said "Mish did when I accidently ate a black seed at her house!"

I called Mish at work and asked her why she was tormenting my kid!  She just laughed and laughed, which was all I could do as well.

Then Mish tells me to ask her how big the watermelon is and Caleigh says "thankfully it is only the size of an orange!"  LOL!!!!!

Atlanta

"ATLANTA"

She says this word totally correct.  However, she emphasizes the "AT".  So, when we head into the city, she always asks "Are we in AT-lanta yet?"  LOL! I never really noticed it but my sister pointed out that it did sound very cute.
